BASYCS BREAKFAST SEMINAR – 6 OCTOBER 2016
On 6 October 2016 BASYCS held the first of its breakfast seminar events at the Hôtel Métropole in Geneva. This was a Members only event.
The presentation titled “The notion of discrepancy in the sale of used aircraft” was made by Raphaël Baeriswyl of MEYER AVOCATS, Geneva and explored the potential pit-falls surrounding the sale and purchase of used aircraft. More particularly Raphaël explained how aviation regulations interfere with the principles of contract law and highlighted, on this basis, the need for sellers of used aircraft to mitigate the possible consequences of having a pre-purchase inspection performed on an aircraft.
BASYCS was pleased to welcome representatives of family offices, banks and wealth advisors and we thank MEYER AVOCATS for their generous sponsorship of this most instructive presentation.
